Dhairya Soni of Std. VIII A and Tanay Patel of Std. VIII E from Middle School Level were the Regional Winners in World Wild Wisdom Quiz 2017 held at Valsad. They also participated at National Level, Delhi.
  • Vir Shah of Std. IV D, Darsh Joshi of Std. IV A, Panshul Shah of Std. IV A, Dwij Sutariya of Std. IV E, Dhyana Patel of Std. IV F are awarded with Merit Plus Position and Gold Medal in Spell Bee Competition at National and International Level.
  • Bright Day School, Harni Unit bagged the 3rd position from Sports Authority of Gujarat as the “BEST SCHOOL” in Khel Mahakumbh 2017 at Zonal level for maximum participation in various sports events.


Neel Thomas of Std. X D secured the 2nd position in U/17 category, a Silver Medal in Chess Tournament. He also secured the 3rd position at zonal level in Chess organized by Khel Mahakumbh.
Himanshi Pandit of Std. IV B secured the 1st position, Swasti Vaishnav of Std.  V C secured the 2nd position in Chess Tournament at zonal level organized by Khel Mahakumbh.
Ansh Shah of Std. X D secured the1st position in Chess Tournament at zonal level organized by Khel Mahakumbh 2017. He also secured 4th position in Open Chess Festival Tournament organized by Gujarat State Chess.
Harshil Makwana of Std. VIII A secured the 3rd position in Lawn Tennis Singles organized by Khel Mahakumbh 2017 at district level and also was selected for the Pre-National camp of Games. He also secured the Runner’s up trophy and a certificate in Open Baroda Tennis Tournament.
  • Brightians secured various positions in CBSE Cluster West Zone Skating meet held at Bhopal.
  • Vidhi Sheth of Std. X C received 1 Bronze Medal in 300m in Skating event held at Bhopal in National level organized by CBSE.
  • Bright Day School, Harni Unit bagged the ‘Outstanding School Award’ 2017 and Brightians won Gold Medals, gifts and trophies at National Level in Rangotsav Handwriting and Colouring contest 2017.
Preety Padhiyar of Std. X E participated in Written Quiz School level competition on Swami Vivekanand. She secured the 1st position and is selected  for the district level.
Aayush Dikshit of Std. X E secured the 3rd position and Nagesh Parmar of Std. X A received a participation certificate in Hindi Bhashan Pratiyogita organised by Pashchimanchal Hindi Prachar Samiti.
Kanav Gandhi of Std. I E secured consolation prize in Geeta Chanting Competition.
Kavish Shah of Std. IV B received International Level Certificate of Achievement in Spell Bee International.
Aditya Patel of Std. IV A received a certificate and a medal in Math and Memory World Cup and secured Merit Position in senior category
Jenith Sharma of Std. VI A received a certificate and a medal in the Knights Tour and received participation Certificate in IT festival organized by Faculty of Science, MSU.
Hardik Bhatia of Std. VIII A secured the 3rd position and received a trophy and a certificate in Cyberia Chess Tournament organized by MSU. He also participated in Bridge Chess Tournament and is awarded with the Champions trophy and a Gold Medal.
Daksh Shah of Std. VI F secured the 4th position and Jainil Desai of Std. VI C  bagged a Bronze Medal in Chess Tournament organized by Baroda Chess Institute.
Vir Shah of Std. IV D and Jainam Shah of Std. VI D participated in Chess Tournament organized by Social Group’s International Federation. Jainam was also a winner in drawing competition organized by Young Bhaskar on the theme “Back to School”.
Subham Darji of Std. VI A received the consolation prize, at State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation organized by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd held at Powergrid, Dehgam.
Anushyaa Kaithwas of Std. V B bagged three Gold Medals in Inter School Swimming Competition U-12 girls 25 mtr breast stroke, free-style and back stroke which was organized by VIBGYOR.
Vrutant Shah of Std. VI B secured the 2nd position in Gujarat State Level Malkahamb Competition.
Netra Parikh of Std. IV D is awarded with Diploma of Distinction Certificate for participating in Fragrance of Art Buds in the 9th International youth and Child Art Exhibiiton-2017.She also participated in Gujarat State Level Malkhamb association U/12 category.
Abhinav Ravichandran of Std. IX C secured the 2nd position in the DFA Tournament organized by Dodgers Football Academy at Vadodara. He received a certificate of appreciation and a Medal.
Khush Kharachariya of Std. VI A and Navdha Pandya of Std. V A participated in Best-Mid Brain Demo performance and received a participation certificate.
Ansh Mandot of Std. I B secured Gold Medal and Nitya Gandhi of Std. V C received Silver Medal in 4th National Children Art, Poetry and Essay Competition 2017.
Nitya Gandhi and Krishil Lukka of Std. V C received a participation certificate in Madhubani Tribe Art Painting Workshop.

Shardul Pattankar of Std. II C and Yashasvi Pattankar of Std. VI C secured the 1st position in All Baroda Maharashtrian Community Carrom Tournament organized by Brahman Sabha, Vadodara. She also received a certificate of Asia Book of Record and a certificate of India book of Records and participated in 13th state UCMAS Abacus & Mental arithmetic competition.
Aarav Shah of Std. I B, Sanvi Raut of Std. I C and Rutva Pandya of Std. I C secured prize in 13th state level, UCMAS.
Devansh Shah of Std. IV E received a trophy and bagged the 1st runner’s up position in 13th State Level, UCMAS. He also secured the 3rd runner’s up position in 16th National Level, UCMAS.
Aneri Shah of Std. IV C and Jiya Pandya of Std.  IV A received trophy in 13th State and 16th National Level, UCMAS.
  • Mohd. Ali Vohra of Std. IV C and Diya Upadhyay of Std. VI E completed Elementary A Level, Krisha Shah of Std.VI E and Dev Panchal of Std. IV G completed Elementary B Level, UCMAS.
Vishruti Kanzariya of Std. V B has completed intermediate A level with 93%, UCMAS.
Swara Patel of Std. VI E participated in UCMAS and is awarded with A level completion certificate.
Arya Saraf of Std. IV G participated in UCMAS and received a participation certificate.
Zena Patel of Std. III E received a Medal in Vedic Maths organized by Sindhi Commmunity Rudraksh Acadamy.
  • Dharmveer Chawla of Std.VI E bagged a trophy in dance and he also received a trophy in Vedic Maths. Atharva Thakkar of Std. IV G, Megh Panwala, Vir Shah, Manya Desai and Bhakti Pandya of Std. IV D, Jay Dohlani of Std. IV E, Shiven Mehta of Std. VI F received a trophy in Vedic Maths.


  • On 18/11/17, Oration Competition was held for the students of Std. I to III. The
  • topic for Std. I was ‘My favourite animal’, Std. II was ‘My Hobby’ and Std. III ‘My Dream’. Oration is the best means for self expression as it helps us to express our thoughts on a given topic. The aim was to enhance speaking skills and also to enhance their confidence for public speaking.
  • On 18/11/2017, Debate Competition was held for the students of Std. IV and V. The topic of the debate was ‘Computer a boon or a curse’. The children laid down their thoughts and ideas emphatically. The length and the breadth of knowledge that they gained through was simply unparall. Each of the participant led to undergo his/her share of criticism and scorn and came to a conclusion which held a reverence. It was evident that the students were well prepared and they used various skills like overstatement, definition etc. to convince the audience. The partici pants made their arguments more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions, body language and gestures.
  • On 18/11/2017, Pot Decoration and Fabric Painting Competition was held for the students of Std. VI & VII. Students used different shapes of pots and decorative material like beads, mirrors and colours to showcase their creativity on pots. Students used different fabrics for painting and made it colourful by adding creative designs and colours.
  • On 18/11/2017, Nukkad Natika Competition was held for Std. VIII & IX. The topics were ‘Garvi Gujarat’, ‘Sukh Dukh Mein Bata Chhatisgarh’ and ‘Desh ki Chhavi Ko Duhmil Karne Mein Bhrashtachar ka Yogdhan’. Each house promoted the awareness on corruption and threw light on the culture of Gujarat & Chhatisgarh. The plays were scripted & performed significantly by the students as a part of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme to proclaim important messages related to the topics in an interesting and entertaining manner. Students gave their wonderful performances with great confidence.




Diwali is an important festival for all as it brings rejoice, happiness. Children wait eagerly to celebrate it with enthusiasm, sweets and crackers. A diya decorating activity was organized for children. Children enjoyed the healthy dibba party also, where they imbibed the habit of having and sharing healthy, nutritious food.


14 November is celebrated as Children’s Day. On this day, every year we pay our tribute to our country’s First Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The students prepared a speech to share the importance of this day in morning assembly, our Principal addressed the students and wished all a very ‘Happy Children’s Day’ with loads of fun and frolic to live and to enjoy their c hildhood. Our music teacher sang song for the students and every child crooned along with the music teacher. It really reminded us of the days where we all forget our worries and are children from our soul. Our art and craft teacher demonstrated to prepare a rose with paper and our Managing Trustee Shri Simit Shah and Chairman Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah were felicitated with the rose made by the students; also our principal and all the teachers were wearing the beautiful handmade roses. Children also wore it on their uniform after preparing the roses with craft papers. Children also had various activities like coloring, printing, playing snakes and ladder, tailing the donkey and many other games. They played and enjoyed with their friends.



  • On 17/11/2017, Ms. Manisha Singh and Ms. Vandana Gadiya attended the workshop on topic of English Language teaching. It was organized by Orient Black Swan. The focus of the workshop was to understand and inculcate the four basic language skills i.e. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing amongst the students. Mrs. Supriya Khadilkar explained how to teach different grammar concepts using the 2 approaches i.e. shallow end approach and deep end approach. It was an enriching programme.
  • On 21/11/2017, Ms. Ranjana Gangotra attended the workshop on “Sexual abusement among children”. The workshop was conducted by Baroda Citizen Council at Surya Palace. Mr. Mahesh Patel DEO was the guest of honour. The main purpose of the workshop was to spread awareness and start up with awareness programs in all schools.
  • On 25/11/2017, workshop was conducted by Mrs. Suverchala Kashyap on ‘Interpersonal Relations, Positive Attitude’. Teachers were guided about how we can reach within everyone in our surroundings. We enjoyed the session as the faculty kept us hooked on about how we can be flexible, creative, understand the differences, respect and listen to others and these virtues will lead us to be a person who we all want to be. They can also come out of the doubts and fear.
