Riddhima Behal of IIIA and Netra Gupta of II A took part in International Level  22nd UCMAS Competition in Malaysia, participants from 36 countries took part in it. They  were declared  runners up position in the same.


Tirth Patel of V C, Aarnav Patel of VI B, Hetanshi Dave of VIIB and Riya Vyas of VIIID were the school toppers of International Spell Bee Competition 2017-2018.

Generous Act by the Students…

  1. Donated Rice to Shree Jalaram Seva Trust

BrightiansVIP unit under the guidance of Ms. Sunanda Kelkar collected 387 Kgs of rice as a part of their yearly philanthropic activity. The collected rice was donated to Shree Jalaram Seva Trust an NGO which helps the needy through various programs.The School Captain Yash Chudgar and the School Head Boy Ronit Kothari and Sports Leader Dhruv Surve visited the trust and handed over the collected rice.

  1. Armed Forces Welfare Fund

Brightians as a part of ArmedForces Flag Day celebrationRs 10741 was collected to honor the martyrs and the men in uniform who valiantly fight to safeguard the country's honor. It was a contribution by Brightians which will be utilized for providing financial assistance to needy Ex-Servicemen, War widows and their Dependents; and for their Rehabilitation. The cheque was handed overby Madam Varsha Das Sr. Teacher on behalf of the students of the school, to Armed Forces Welfare Officers.



  • CHRISTMAS - 23.12.17

The festival of Christmas was celebrated with gaiety in the school. Santa Clause arrived and filled the crowd with joy and danced with everyone with great enthusiasm. All the children enjoyed to the beats of “Jingle Bells”.

  • NATIONAL YOUTH DAY - 12.01.18

In remembrance of Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day was observed.A special assembly was held to familiarize the students with this inspiring personality and his thoughts. Students presented different facets of his life through their speeches. Students wrote essays based on various incidents of  life and teachings of the great persona.

  • ANNUAL SPORTS DAY - 22.01.18 & 23.01.18

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Monday 22 January for Std V to VIII and 23 January for Std I to IV, at Amit Complex School Premises. The programme started with lighting the Olympic flame followed by oath taking by students. The Pleasant weather was a perfect boost for the students who participated in various events like Running Race, Separating the Pulses, Potato Race and so on. Spectators including parents and students cheered the participants. The occasion was graced by Chairman Sir Jayendra Shah, Joint Managing Trustee Madam Shairavi, Principal Madam Shobha Rajpurohit and teachers. Medals were given away to the winners by dignitaries present.Various events were organised for the parents too.

  • VASANT PANCHAMI - 22.01.18

Vasant Panchamithatmarks the end of the winter season and ushers in the springtime was celebrated in the school.  Saraswati is the Goddess who represents knowledge and wisdom; hence, her blessings also bring positive perception and wisdom. Saraswati Puja was performed on this day.

  • REPUBLIC DAY - 25.01.18

The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity at Bright School on 25th January 2018.  A special assembly was held which included speeches and songs echoing with patriotic fervor. Programme ended with a pledge to work towards a brighter and more prosperous nation.

  • Martyr's Day - 30.01.18

Assembly was conducted to observe the Martyr’s Day, to mark the death anniversary of Father of Our Nation ‘Mahatma the great soul’ who was assassinated on Jan 30th 1948, a 2 minute silence was observed in his memory at 11:00 a.m. This day is also a salutation the martyrdom of the soldiers who lost their lives defending the nation. The assembly also included some of Gandhiji’s favourite Bhajans, speech and some inspiring quotes.



  • QUIZ COMPETITION - 08.12.17 (Std VII - VIII) & 12.12.17 (Std III - IV)

“Knowledge is a treasure that is never lost”. In an effort to enhance this and promote inquisitiveness and creativity,quiz competition was held for class I to VIII on the dates mentioned. Quiz was designed to give students a unique platform to sharpen their skills and influence their academic knowledge along with general knowledge and current world affairs .The finals was fast paced and tested lateral thinking, quick decision making. It aspired the students to achieve academic excellence and increase their awareness of the world around them.

  • ELOCUTION - 06.01.18 (Std V - VI)

The art of delivering speeches in an organized manner with clarity was the aim of this competition. The students were trained not only on proper diction, but also on the proper use of gestures. The students were judged by Sir Milind Majumdar and Madam Sunanda Kelkar on voice modulation, pronunciation, emphasis and over all presentation. Best Students were declared the winner.

  • SPELL - O - FUN - 20.01.18 (Std I - II)

Words can be fun! And spelling them more so!! Spell O Fun competition was organized for students of Std I and II to stress on importance of language and better the ability to spell correctly as a n essential part of schooling. Students had fun and enjoyed the session of putting themselves to test. The best students were given away the prizes.


Teacher Enhancement Programmes


Mr. Vilas Bhogle and Ms. Leena Mehta and Dr. Kaushik Patel for Heartfulness institute conducted two day seminar for training teacher for relaxation and meditation. The program involved in using self-development tools and techniques, along with meditation and relaxation as a part of “INSPIRE Teachers” program.

  • Cultivating Language Skills
Ms. Ishita Shah attended a workshop on “Cultivating Language Skills” organised by Ratnasagar Publication by Resourse Person  Ms. Neelam Sanwalkha on 15th Dec 2017. She conducted a Teacher’s Training and Enhancement Program on 12th of January at Bright Schoolto share her learning.
  • Specific Learning Disability
Ms. Devleena Behal Counsellor of the school attended workshop at New Horizon Child Development Centre, Mumbai on “Specific Learning Disability” by Ms. Alaknanda Sengupta  Special Educator  and Ms. Nita Mehta Clinical Psychologistand she also attended Dr. Niveditha Ganguli’s“Dealing with BehaviorProblems in Classroom Situation” workshop.
  • Workshop on English Language
Workshop on English Language Teaching was organised by Orient BlackSwan at Bright School on 27th of January Resource Person was Mr.SasiRaj enriched the  English language Teachers  from all units of Bright School with techniques and activities to make English teaching more effective.
