FELICITATION

  • Sir Simit J Shah Managing Trustee of Bright School was awarded the honourship of Highly Effective Edupreneur of India Award 2017 at Eduprenurship Summit and Awards held at New Delhi on 16th July 2017. This award was in recognition for his exemplary contribution in the field of education. He was presented the award by the current spokesman of BJP Mr. Shah Nawaz Hussain.

 

PRIDE OF BRIGHT

  • Dhruv Surve of VIII A won 3rd Positionin 45 Kg weight category at All Baroda Judo Championship 2017 held in Vadodara.
  • Aarnav J Patel of VI B secured 1st position at State Level in Competition conducted by International Spelling Bee. He also won Gold Medal in National Level Drawing Competition Organised by Dream children’s Art Academy, Vijayawada, and Andhra Pradesh.

  • Handwriting Competition - 5th July 2017 (Std I and II)

Skill of writing is a very important part of education. A good writing helps students to attain higher level of academic achievement. The handwriting competition is an attempt by the school to see that students develop a legible handwriting. The winners of Competition are :-

  • Calligraphy Competition - 5th July 2017 (Std: III and IV)

Calligraphy meaning beautiful writing in Greek and is an art of decorative writing. The competition was organized aiming to motivate to write neatly and bring forth the creativity in each student. The enthusiastic students came up with some excellent work.

EVENTS

  • International Yoga Day :- 21st June 2017

International Yoga Day was celebrated with a motto of “Perfect control over Mind, Body and Soul”. Bright School joined the celebration to enhance the focus on memory, productivity, teamwork and communication; all a part of everyday students life.A yoga session was conducted by Ms. Jayaben Motwani and Ms. Rashida of Yogniketan.

 

  • Students Union Election :- 4th July 2017

School election is a great opportunity for students to exercise student’s rights. Students have the opportunity to run for the positions of Head Boy, Head girl and School Captain. Students were nominated on the basis of discipline, academics and conduct so that they can be role models to their fellow schoolmates. Electronic Voting took place through Secret Ballot in which approximately 1000 students of class V- VIII voted. Elected members are Yash Chaudgar of Std VIII A School Captain,Vedanti Mistry of VIII B Head Girl and Ronit Kothari of VIII B Head Boy.

 

  • Investiture Ceremony :- 11th July 2017

Investiture Ceremony was held in the school. The event was presided over by the Guests of honour were Mr. Mukesh Patel, Principal Secondary Section (Non Granted) and Madam Sangita D’Cruz Supervisor Lower primary CBSE Unit Principal Madam Shobha Rajpurohit was also present. It was conducted with the high degree of sincerity and enthusiasm. The Investiture ceremony denotes the trust and confidence we repose in newly invested student leaders for their involvement in day today functioning of the school. Students were all excited to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the  school. The newly elected members received their badges & took the pledge to abide by the school’s motto.

 

TALK

  • Good Manners and Habits :- 24th June 2017 , Faculty : Ms. Devlina Behal

Discipline, manners and good habits play a vital role in a child’s development. Students of Std I  were given a talk and a Power Point Presentation on good manners andhabits by Ms. Devlina to instill courtesy, politeness, honesty and other essential virtues for an overall development of students.

 
  • Adolescence (Std: V and VI) - 8th July 2017, Faculty : Ms. Devlina Behal
Adolescence is an age of discovery and disorientation. To prepare the tween’s of Std V and VI to this transition in their life, a talk was arranged by the school for Std VI .She gave talk on how their personalities both  physical and psychological under goes changes and guided them to make smart and good choices in life. Build good characterto beresponsible and respected person and to work hard with a positive attitude . She also stressed on the5 C’s of positive development of adolescence Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character and caring …
 
  • Road Safety “Sadak Suraksha” :- 22nd July 2017
Road safety is an emerging challenge to create knowledge on traffic rules and road safety among students.L & Teers (Young Engineers of L&T) on a social awareness drive “Sadak Suraksha”organiseda program for class VIII students.This interactive  session had a skit along with video clippings to sensitised students  about the rules to be followed while riding bicycles and being on road.
 
  • Laughtercise for Std I and Std II:25th July 2017
Walt Disney in collaboration with Hungama Channel conducted a program to energies kids with laughter as a part of public service initiative for schools. “Staying fit and healthy with laughter” the motto was achieved through character Chacha and Bhatija from Hungama Channel.
 
  • Physical fitness and Adolescence :- 29th July 2017, Faculty : Ms. Devlina Behal
Students were given a talk on the role thatphysicalfitness plays in their life.The need for being physically active was emphasized. Necessity for incorporating a regular exercise routine in life and also to eat healthierfood was explained. The need to avoid junk foods, fizzy drinks getting adequate amount of rest was stressed on by Ms. Devlina Behal. The students were taught various values through skits, coordination exercises were demonstrated which the students can use to enhance their mind power to build self-confidence.

 

ORIENTATION CUM TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS

  • Energy Conservation :- 22nd July 2017

Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) initative, in association with  Soham Technologies conducted an Orientation cum Training Program for Teachers. This program a part ofenergy conservation education in school,was conducted with the objective of passingon the message of energy conservation to children  through formal and informal activities . About 25  dynamic teachers participated. It was a step taken towards their goal of making Gujarat the solar capital of the world.
