  1. Acharya Shiromani Award by Avantika

Smt Shobha Rajpurohit Principal of Bright School was awarded the prestigious Acharya Shiromani Award by Avantika group held at Hindi Bhavan Delhi on 11th November 2017. She was only awardee from Baroda, around 95 chosen Principals and teachers from schools all over India for this National and International Award.


As a part of “Be the change” inititative Brightians sent handmade greeting cards to Indian Army personnels to greet them on Diwali and to thank them for protecting our country and its borders. A hope to bring priceless smiles to light the faces of our Peace Keepers.



  1. Social Science Project Competition

Brightians Hetvi A Shah and Vishaka G Toshniwal of VIII A won the runner up place in the Social Science Project Competition on “Water Harvesting &Portablity : Challenges and Solutions” exhibition  held at the community science center, Subhanpura, Vadodara. They were among 70 students of std 6 to 10 from 24 schools participatants.

  1. Navneet Master Stroke 2017 School Level Competition

Navneet Master Stroke 2017 School Level Competition was held in the month of July for students form class I to VIII. This exclusive competition gave an oppurtunity to the students to showcase their creativity and under various groups. Students qualifying at School Level Competition were given gift hampers.

  1. Essay writing Competitions

Brightians won 10 Gold, 27 Silver and 22 Bronze medals in Collage and Essay writing Competitions organised by Avantika Group New Delhi.

  1. Rangostav Celebration

Brightians won 9 trophies, 15 Gold Medals and 5 Consolation Prizes in various activities like Colouring, Handwriting and Collage Competitions conducted by Rangostav Celebration Mumbai.

  1. Khel Mahakumbh

Dhruv Surve of VIII A stood third in Khel Mahakumbh 2017 45 kg 14 yearsWrestling in State Level Competition event was held at De.Baria.

  1. Gujarat State Mallakamb Championship

Heney B Shah of VE won first place in “Gujarat State Mallakamb Championship”organised by Pragati Krida Mandal, Vadodara.

  1. Ronak Merani of VI B won 2nd Prize in singing ,he represented Gujarat in Bal Bhavan National Children’s Assembly and Integration Camp held from 14-16 November 2017 in New Delhi.
  1. Kevna R Shah of VI C participated in Interstate Cultural Programme organised at Kala Academy, Panaji by Bal Bhavan Goa on 9th&10th of November.
  • Juhi H Vasavada of VI C stood Third in Khel Mahakumbh 2017 in Table Tennis, at State LevelCompetition held on 16th 17th& 18th of October 2017. She also has stood first at Inorbit Baroda District Level Table Tennis Championship.



Bharat Scouts and Guides students of Bright School went on a  trekking trip  to Motnath Hunuman temple on the19th November  accompanied by Sir Alexander and support staff , also seen is Mr. Rohit Goswami narrating the origin and the legend about the temple.

Rastrapati Award winners went on a cycling trip to Chaani Village on the 24th of November.




Fancy Dress Competition was an exciting and memorableevent for students of Std I and II, it was an attempt to promote self-confidence and to get rid of stage fear in students. Participants came up with unique concepts and vibrant costumes like the Newspaper, Polybag,the Earth and Whatt’s App. Students were judged by Ms. Shymala Bulusu and Ms. Deepti Sawant on the criteria’s of costume, dialogue and overall presentation by esteemed judges. Students with innovative costumes and who presented themselves well on the stage were adjudged the winners of the competition.

Competitions are oppourtunities to bring out the creativity and awareness of  ones own talents . Diya decoration  and Book Mark Making Competition provided a platform for their expression of artistic talent. Students with best creativity were declared the winners.

  • GREETING CARD (STD V AND VI) - 10.10.17

Art is a medium of self expression. Students are given several avenues to recognize there innate aptitudes and  the same is nurtured. Greeting Card Making was one such event that saw all students enthusiastically taking part in . The best creative work was declared the winners.

  • RANGOLI (STD VII AND VIII) - 14.10.17

Rangoli is an art and it takes time and practice to become an expert in it.Students presented Amazing designs! Very creative. It was a perfect way to set the stage for Diwali Celebration. Designs displayed were simple but unique.  The student came out with the best creativity.



  • DIWALI CELEBRATION - “Deva Swarupam” - 12.10.2017

A unique celebration of Indian Religion and culture based on mythology with a blend of music and style. Depicted through vibrant performances wasthe importance of Hamunan Chalisa, Nav Durga,Shiv Tandav and Ganesh Stuthi. This progarm was presented by students of Std V-VIII. The students also used this oppurtunity to spread a message on caution to parents with regards to using of  mobile by students through a skit.


The day began with children coming to school in colourful dresses . A special assembly was conducted to share importance of the day and to emphasize giving love and affection to all children.Best Out Of Waste activity was conducted as a part of the celebrationto bring out their creativity the mirror of soul. Students with their skilled hands turned household waste materials into Pen Stands, Piggy Banks, and Wind Chimes, Photo Frames and so on. The creativity lies in each and they used it to the hilt. This recycle craft was activity that was enjoyed by all students.



  • Talk on HEALTH AND HYGIENE - 11.11.2017

Health can be maintained by forming good personal care habits. Learning personal hygiene to stay healthy is of utmost importance for children. To incorporate these habits in their routine a talk was organized. The students were given talk by Ms.Devleena on care to be taken from head to toe. Oral hygiene, hand washing, nail care, hair care and also food hygiene tips were given to kids that’ll make them healthier.

  • Talk on TRAFFIC AWARENESS - 25.11.2017

Road safety is an emerging challenge to create knowledge on traffic rules and road safety among students a talk was organised for class VII students.Mr.Harish Goswami Police Constable ,a Reserve Police Trainer specalized in Drills, Parades and warfare training, spoke to students  about traffic rules and road safety. Students  were also told about the rules to be followed while riding bicycles and while being on road.


Teacher Enhancement Programmes

  • STEM Learning Integration of Science, Technology,Engineering and Mathematics

STEM Learning Integration of Science, Technology,Engineering and Mathematics was conducted on 17th and 18th of November by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Community Science Center, Ahmedabad was attended by Ms. Nivedita Khedekar Science Teacher participated. Teaching aids and application of STEMlearning in real life was taught in two day workshop.

Teacher’s training enhancement workshop was conducted on 23rd and 24th of November at Bright School, by Ms. Nivedita Khedekar who shared her learning on STEM with teachers from Std 5th to Std 8th carried out different experiments and made teaching aids.

  • Ms. Almas Kachhwala English Teacher attended a workshopon English Language Teaching –ELT through Listening, Reading and Writingorganised by Rain Tree Publication with ResourcePerson as Ms. Supriya Khedikar on the 17th November at Hampton by Hilton.
