ACTIVITY
  • Germination Activity

The students were said to take a Dicot seeds and explained the process of its growing. They were supposed to take observe the different stages of its growth.

 

CELEBRATIONS

  • Rakshabandhan - 03.08.2020

The festival of the Rakshabandhan is celebrated to express the sweet union of a brother and sister. It is a tradition of the Indian culture to tie a decorated thread on the wriest of the brother by the sister. To maintain this tradition the school appealed the students to make a rakhi with homemade materials and tie it to brother. A warm response was received. So many girls posted their pics on WhatsApp.

  • Independence Day

It was celebrated online. A documentary was presented and the students were explained the importance of the freedom struggle.

  • Ganesh Chaturthi - 17.08.2020

The sthapna of Lord Ganesha took place in the auditorium of the school. This was performed in a complete traditional way. The decoration contained all the materials available around us.

  • Ganesh Visarjan - 25.08.2020

The ceremony was performed traditionally. The shobhayatra was organized with social distancing.

  • Teacher's Day - 05.09.2020

The students expressed their sentiments for the teachers through different messages on WhatsApp and Facebook. A few students wished the teachers through videos. They kept their messages or videos on the status of WhatsApp or as the story on the Facebook.

 

COMPETITION

  • Patriotic Song Competition - 07.08.2020

With a view to cultivate the patriotism in the students, this competition was organized for STD 9. Total 22 participants were there who presented their songs during online classes.3 participants from each division were shortlisted for semifinal who recorded their songs and sent to school. The finalists were in the dresses of some freedom fighters which created the atmosphere of patriotism.

The winners were :
1. Miss Jiya Parikh (9 C) - First Prize
2. Miss Vipra Thakkar (9 A) - Second Prize 
3. Miss Paramveerkaur Ahluwalia and Master Hetarthsinh Vansia – Consolation Prize.

The event was judged by  Mr Suketu Shah and Ms Preeti Jani

 
  • Singing Competition - 08.08.2020

A Singing Competition was organized by the Lions Club, Vadodara.5 participants were there from our school and Miss Jiya Parikh won the prize.

  • Essay Writing Competition - 08.08.2020

An essay writing competition by the Sardar Bhavan Trust on the death anniversary of Vasant and Rajab. The subject was "માનવધર્મ એ જખરોધર્મ". Total 8 participants were there

The winners were :

Miss Khushi Jalpesh Shah. (9 E) - Second Winner and
Mr Milind Majmudar. (Fourth Winner) - (Supervisor, Secondary and Higher Secondary, Non-Granted Unit)

  • E-conclave - 10.08.2020

An online programme on adolescence was organized by the leading gynecologists of India. There was a question –answer session too. Many students participated with parents.

  • Covid Quiz - 11.08.2020

Parul University has organized a quiz contest on the subject of Covid-19. The programme focused the precautions to be taken to save one from this pendamic. 36 participants were from this school and each was awarded online certificate.

  • Elocution Competition - 05.09.2020

In order to bring out the hidden talent of the students and to develop the public speaking skills among them, elocution competition was held online. The topics were given in advance and the students presented their speech during online sessions. The semifinalists, thus selected recorded their speeches and sent to the judges.

  • Heartfulness Essay Writing Competition

An essay writing competition is jointly organized by Shri Ramchandra Mission and Heartfulness organization for the students of STD 9 to 12. Total four students have participated and send their essays to the organizers.

 

ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS

  • Career Guidance Seminar - 11.09.2020

In order to guide the students regarding career selection, an webinar for the students and parents was conducted in the school. The teachers guided the students and the parents on different topics like the selection of the stream, admission procedure, merit list, future prospect etc. A question answer session was conducted at last. Ms Nina Shukla answered the queries. The seminar got wide appreciation from the parents.
