Brightians participated in Vadodara Kidovation Festival Inter-school competition organised by New Era Senior Secondary School and Anand Vidya Vihar School. Rakshit Agnihotri and Rutva Joshi of Std III , Diva Shah and Rishaan Patadia of Std IV bagged the first prize each in 'Trash To Treasure' event.
Pushya Khaire of Std. V F secured the 2nd position and bagged a trophy, Risheet Pandya of Std. V E secure the 3rd position & bagged a trophy and cash prize, Jayitri Patel of Std. III A secured the 3rd position and received International Chess Kit in the Interschool Chess Competition organised by Akshar Public School.
Brightians clinched the 1st Position - Winner trophy in 'Veeranjali' Interschool Patriotic Group Dance Competition (Category A) held at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium organised by Sapphire Global School. The dance was choreographed by Mr.Jimmish Chaudhary. The participants were Ginni Punjabi, Vivaan Pathak, Yuvraj Sharma, Gahana Jain of Std. Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated with a great sense of pride and patriotism. During the morning assembly, Brightians offered their tribute to the nation by sharing interesting tit-bits about Independence Day. The music teacher Ms Debjani, along with Ms Madhushree and Ms Yogita paid a musical tribute to our country by singing ‘Ae vatan ae vatan ae mere vatan…..’. Teachers shared interesting information about the Independence Day. Brightians of Std. I to III made drawings of the national flag and freedom fighters, Std. IV and V made drawings and wrote a few lines on Independence Day and Std. VI to XII made visually appealing posters and wrote essays on Independence Day. The Independence Day programme commenced with a welcome speech. The Flag Hoisting ceremony was performed by the Chairman Dr Simit Shah. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Instilled with a sense of pride for the nation, the heads, teachers, parents and students alike sung the Jhanda Geet. The Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma addressed the gathering and spoke about the role of the youth in nation building. She encouraged the students to make conscious efforts for the progress of the nation and the well-being of fellow citizens. She motivated them to show small acts of kindness, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene, to make judicious use of resources, to exercise their rights as well as discharge their duties. She inspired the students to become proactive citizens of Viksit Bharat. The school choir under the guidance of the music teacher Mr Jayesh Patel sung the patriotic song 'Jahan daal daal par sone ki....'. A dance performance demostrating unwavering courage and determination was also performed by the Brightians in memory of the freedom fighters and the front-line warriors of our land. The lyrics of the song were 'Kadam kadam badhaye ja...'. Towards the culmination of the event the national song – Vande Mataram was sung. The function ended by proposing the Vote of Thanks.
National Space Day
National Space Day was celebrated on 23rd August 2024 at our school, with great enthusiasm and curiosity. The event was marked by a go series of engaging activities that sparked the interest of students in space exploration. Students created vibrant posters depicting various planets, galaxies, and space missions. A quiz contest was held, testing students' knowledge about space. An impressive science exhibition was set up, showcasing models and projects like Bluetooth Control Rover and Obstacle Avoidance Robot mentored by Ms Unnati Pandya - the ATL Incharge. Students successfully launched a rocket. It was a treat to see the rocket propel. Students also showcased their artistic skills by drawing pictures related to space and astronomy. Teachers shared enriching information, specially released by NCERT, about India's work and contribution in the field of space technology deepening students' interest in space science. These activities not only educated the students but also inspired them to pursue their interest in space science. The display of models like Chandrayaan, Aditya L, Rover etc. reminded everyone of the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on 23rd August 2023. The celebration was a huge success, leaving the students with a new found appreciation for the wonders of the universe.
Janmashtami
Brightians celebrated Janmashtami with great devotion and enthusiasm. During the morning assembly, the school choir sang uplifting, musical and devotional melodies under the guidance of our music teacher Ms. Debjani, creating a lively atmosphere. Brightians of Std. I and II added to the festive spirit by dressing in colourful, traditional attires of Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopis making the celebration a memorable one. They enacted scenes from the life of Lord Krishna. Teachers shared the significance of the festival drawing special attention to the preachings of Lord Krishna.
Teacher's Day
Teachers' Day was celebrated with great merriment and jubilation at our school. The school fondly remembered the contribution made by our founder Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah to the field of education. The heads and staff members paid their tribute to Sir by offering flowers. The Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma, wished the teachers and expressed heartfelt gratitude on their special day and advised the students to respect and obey the teachers. Brightians paid tribute to the teachers by singing songs and sharing interesting information about Dr S. Radhakrishnan during the morning assembly. The song, 'Shukriya Shukriya...' was sung by our music teacher Ms Debjani in the most soothing voice. Brightians of Std. X to XII acted as student teachers and conducted teaching sessions.
Eco - Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Celebration
Ganesh Chaturthi festival commenced with the ‘Ganesh-Sthapana’ performed by our Chairman, Dr Simit Shah, and Directress, Ms Swara Shah. Our Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma, along with the Heads, teaching and non-teaching staff members and students, joined the puja to seek God’s blessings. Lord Ganesha’s idol was ceremoniously brought into the school premises. Brightians sang songs during the morning assembly in reverence of Lord Ganesha, and the students tapped their feet and clapped to the beats of the music. Teachers shared the significance of the festival in the classrooms. Students made beautiful drawings of Lord Ganesha and even made ‘mukuts’ for the Lord.
A procession was carried out during the Ganesh Visarjan. Scouts and Guides students were also a part of the procession. The procession included energetic Lezim performance by students. This was followed by Garba where Brightians danced to their hearts’ content. The entire school participated in the celebrations. Lord Ganesha’s eco-friendly idol was immersed in a water tank at the school. This water was used for watering the plants.
Our Computer teacher Ms. Reshu Kaushik attended the training programme: AI Generative & Chatbot on 12/08/2024 & 13/08/2024 at Indian Institution of Teacher Education (IITE) Gandhinagar. The resource persons were Mr. Jignesh Gohil & Mr. Satish Shukla. The training was interactive. Activity based Main theme of the training was AI basic concepts & AI tools, ChatGPT: using prompts effectively, AI Vs. Creative writing and Ethical considerations, interactive AI driven learning experiences.
