Rutva Pandya of Std. IX has brought immense glory to the school by winning four Gold Medals in the 500 Meter Rink Race, 1000 Meter Rink Race, 3000 Meter Road Race in Skating and Cycling U-17 Girls SGFI at District level Competition. She has qualified for the State Level.
Bhavya Pawar of Std. VIII secured the 1st Position in U-14 Boys 40 kg at District level and the 2nd position at State level in Wrestling Category at SGFI.
Jaini Soni of Std. VI has made us proud by securing the 1st position in the 69th SGFI District Karate Championship. She has not only won the Gold Medal but also qualified for the State Level Tournament. She also bagged the Gold Medal & Certificate for securing the 1st position in the 19th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2025 organised by Seiko Kai Karate India Bharat Karate Academy.
Visarg Bhavsar emerged as the Winner and Rudra Kadam of Std VIII secured the 4th Position in the U-14 Boys SGFI Badminton District Level Tournament. They are selected for the State Level Championship.
Vihaan Patel, Jenish Modi, Ved Shah, Madhav Shah, Jainil Thakor, Jainil Trivedi, Aarav Permar, Nilax Jaiswal, Jay Shah, Tatva Thakkar of Std. VIII & Aarav Jaiswal of Std. VII secured the SGFI U-14 Basketball District Level Tournament 2025! They clinched this big win. Vihaan Patel, Jenish Modi, Ved Shah, Madhav Shah, Jainil Thakor have been selected for the State Level Coaching Camp. The students were mentored by our PE teacher Ms. Chitra Gavli.
Manas Kadia of Std. IX secured 8th rank in SGFI Lawn Tennis Tournament at district level. He qualified in the top best players in U-17 category in Vadodara district.

Bagless Day - Std I to VIII on 02.08.2025
The day was all about joy, creativity, and learning beyond the classroom! Brightians enjoyed the Bagless Day filled with fun activities, hands-on learning, and the vibrant Rangotsav Celebration Competition. Various competitions organised were: Draw and Colour, Card Making, Stick and Shine, Patriotic Song, Folk Art, Sketching, Cartoon Making, Handwriting, Tattoo Making Competitions for different classes. Every child got a chance to shine! Painting, Music, Dance, Speech, Games & More!

Rakshabandhan
Raksha Bandhan, a cherished Hindu festival, falls on the last day of the Hindu lunar month, Shravana. This year was celebrated on August 9, 2025. In Sanskrit, the term 'Raksha Bandhan' translates to 'the bond of protection, obligation and care', highlighting the festival's significance. It's a joyous celebration of sibling love and bond, where sisters tie a sacred Rakhi thread around their brothers' wrists. In return, brothers promise to safeguard their sisters, strengthening their lifelong bond. The festival honours the relationship between siblings and is a beautiful expression of love and commitment.
The festival was commemorated with immense enthusiasm and excitement. During the morning assembly, students, shared the importance and significance of the occasion. Under the expert guidance of music teachers Mr. Jayesh Patel and Ms. Debjani, the students sang melodious songs and danced, beautifully capturing the essence of the special bond between brothers and sisters. Brightians of Std. I and II celebrated the festival by tying rakhis in school. Furthermore, Brightians showcased their creativity by crafting vibrant drawings and making Tiranga Rakhis using paper flowers, infusing a patriotic touch to the celebration. To further enhance the festive spirit, they designed vibrant Rangolis, adding colour and beauty to the occasion.
Independence Day
Our country, India, celebrates its 79th Independence Day on Friday, 15.08.2025. Independence Day reminds us of India’s struggle for freedom from the colonial rule. The day invokes feelings of patriotism among the citizens and creates a sense of duty towards the nation. It is a day to reflect on our journey, to celebrate our achievements and to look ahead with hope and determination. It serves as a reminder to stay united and lead the nation to prosperity. This day is a tribute to the countless freedom fighters whose struggles and sacrifices have culminated in the evolution of a free and progressive nation. The theme for this year’s Independence Day is ‘Naya Bharat’.
The Independence Day was celebrated with a great sense of pride and patriotism. During the morning assembly, Brightians offered their tribute to the nation by sharing interesting tit-bits about Independence Day. The tricolour code was also shared. Brightians patterned Rangolis using tricoloured craft papers. The classrooms were transformed into vibrant galleries with beautiful drawings of the national flag, freedom fighters and flowers of different shapes meticulously coloured with tricolours, adding a burst of brightness and patriotism to the surroundings.
The Independence Day programme commenced with a welcome speech. The Flag Hoisting ceremony was performed by the Chairman Dr Simit Shah, escorted by the Principal Ms Neeta Sharma. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Instilled with a sense of pride for the nation, the heads, teachers, parents and students sang the Jhanda Geet. In the speech that followed, our Principal urged the students to study hard and strive for excellence, while also respecting parents, teachers and all elders, thereby fostering a sense of empathy and kindness. Highlighting the significance of cleanliness, she encouraged students to take pride in their surroundings and contribute towards maintaining a clean environment. The principal also stressed the value of honesty and integrity, inspiring students to be kind and compassionate towards others. In today's digital age, she cautioned the students against the excessive use of mobile phones and advised judicious use of social media, promoting responsible online behavior. Drawing inspiration from our nation's legacy of freedom fighters, she encouraged students to uphold the values of courage and patriotism that have shaped our country's history. In a heartfelt tribute to our national heroes, Brightians performed energetic dances under the mentorship of our choreographer Mr Jimmish Chaudhary. 'Viranjali' a performance highlighting the role played by Rani Laxmibai in the freedom movement received a huge round of applause from the audience. This was followed by a soulful patriotic song sung by the Brightians under the mentorship of our music teacher Mr Rajiv Dashputre. Towards the culmination of the event the national song – Vande Mataram was sung. The function ended by proposing the Vote of Thanks. Brightians alongwith their parents attended the function in large numbers.
Janmashtami
Krishna Janmashtami is a major Hindu festival which is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. The day holds great religious and spiritual significance in the Hindu religion. It is celebrated across the country with great zeal and fervour. It is celebrated on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada. This year, Janmashtami was celebrated on August 16.
It was celebrated with great devotion and exuberance. During the morning assembly, Brightians enthralled everyone with soul-stirring songs dedicated to Lord Krishna, skilfully guided by the music teacher Mr. Jayesh Patel. The assembly also shed light on the significance of the festival, enriching the students' understanding of its cultural and spiritual importance. Brightians of Std. I and II, adorned themselves in vibrant attires as Lord Krishna, Radha and the Gopis. They enthusiastically brought to life, scenes of 'Krishna Janma' and shared captivating anecdotes from the life of the revered God. In the classrooms, teachers shared inspiring videos that highlighted the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. Brightians unleashed their artistic talents, crafting beautiful drawings, melodious flutes and exquisite decorative pots.
Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi is a cherished Hindu festival that unites people in faith, tradition and joy. Vibrant decorations adorn streets, homes echo with devotional chants and communities celebrate together. Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the God of wisdom, is welcomed with grand processions and heartfelt prayers.
Bright Day School commenced the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi festival with the ‘Ganesh-Sthapana Puja' performed by our Chairman Dr Simit Shah and Directress Ms Swara Shah. Our Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma, Heads, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members and students joined the puja to solicit God's blessings. Brightians sang songs during the morning assembly in glory of Lord Ganesha and students tapped their feet and clapped to the beats of the music. Brightians made beautiful paintings of Lord Ganesha to adorn the classrooms and corridors. The theme of the celebration was 'Operation Sindoor'.
We ceremoniously brought Lord Ganesha's idol into the premises. The idol was brought in a 'Palki' which was escorted enthusiastically by a procession of Brightians ornately decked up as various deities, including Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, as well as birds, animals, army, navy, air force and freedom fighters. Scouts and Guides and NCC students joined in, while Brightians showcased their energetic side with a Lezim performance and traditional garba dance. Brightians carried creative and informative sugar and oil boards, spreading awareness about the dangers of excessive consumption. Brightians also promoted 'Sadak Suraksha' i.e. 'Road Safety' during the procession.
The school celebrated Ganesh Visarjan with great fervour. The idol of Lord Ganesha was paraded through the school corridors while Brightians chanted 'Ganpati Bappa Morya'. The festivities concluded with the eco-friendly immersion of Lord Ganesha's idol in a school water tank, which was later used to water plants, exemplifying the importance of environmentally responsible celebrations.
Teachers Day Celebration
A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.
Every year, India celebrates Teacher’s Day on 5th September to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an Indian politician, philosopher, and statesman who was born on this day in 1888. He served as the second president of India from 1962 to 1967. When Dr. Radhakrishnan’s students sought his permission to celebrate his birthday, he instead, requested them to observe it as Teacher's Day to acknowledge the invaluable contribution made by teachers to the society. Ever since then, 5th September has been celebrated as Teacher's Day.
Teacher's Day was celebrated with great merriment and jubilation. The school fondly remembered the contribution made by its founder Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah to the field of education. The Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers on their special day and advised the students to respect and obey the teachers. HarperCollins India felicitated many teachers with titles on this momentous day for their invaluable contribution to the school in particular and to the field of education at large. Ms Unnati Pandya was felicitated as the ‘Creative Pedagogy Champion of the Year’, Ms Sophia Isaac and Ms Sonal Sharma were felicitated as the ‘Cultivators of Lifelong Readers of the Year', Ms Shikha Bhadoria and Ms Binal Baitha as the ‘21st Century Digital lnnovators of the Year', Ms Lakshmi Sagar and Mr Hemant Rane as the ‘Inspirational Sustainability Mentor of the Year’ and Ms Chitra Gavli and Ms Anju as the ‘Champions of wellbeing in Education of the Year’; thereby making the school truly proud and setting an example for other teachers. Interesting information about Dr S. Radhakrishnan was shared by the students during the morning assembly. Brightians expressed their gratitude to the teachers by conducting teaching sessions on behalf of them, giving them a much needed break. The student-teachers of Std. X to XII, not only taught Brightians various subjects, they also conducted quiz sessions and made them play games.
Hindi Diwas

हिंदी दिवस हर वर्ष 14 सितम्बर को मनाया जाता है। यह वह दिन है जब 1949 में हिंदी को भारत की राजभाषा के रूप में अपनाया गया था। यह दिवस हमें हमारी भाषाई धरोहर को सुरक्षित रखने और राष्ट्रीय पहचान पर गर्व क रने की प्रेरणा देता है। ब्राइट डे स्कूल ने 13 सितम्बर 2025 को हिंदी दिवस बड़ी उत्साह और गर्व के साथ मनाया। इस विशेष अवसर पर हमने अपनी राष्ट्रीय भाषा हिंदी की समृद्धि, सुंदरता और सांस्कृतिक महत्व का उत्सव मनाया। हम मानते हैं कि भाषा केवल संवाद का माध्यम नहीं है, बल्कि यह हमारी धरोहर और पहचान की संवाहक है। हिंदी को बढ़ावा देने और सम्मानित करने के लिए विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक विभिन्न गतिविधियों में भाग लिया, जैसे विज्ञापन लेखन, नारा लेखन (पर्यावरण और हिंदी दिवस), विभिन्न विषयों पर संवाद, दोहा गायन और विज्ञापन प्रस्तुति। इन गतिविधियों ने विद्यार्थियों की रचनात्मकता, अभिव्यक्ति, आत्मविश्वास और हिंदी भाषा के प्रति प्रेम को उजागर किया। आइए हम सभी अपनी मातृभाषा पर गर्व करें और इसकी अमूल्य धरोहर को सहेजते और आगे बढ़ाते रहें। “हिंदी केवल एक भाषा नहीं, बल्कि हमारी संस्कृति और आत्मा का प्रतिबिंब है।”
Junior Marathon

Navratri Celebration
The word Navratri is a combination of two Sanskrit words - Nav, which means the number 9, and Ratra, which means night. Since this festival is celebrated over a period of nine nights across the country, it is called Navratri - the festival of 9 nights. Goddess Durga and her nine divine forms -'Navdurgas' are worshipped during this time. The nine divine forms include-Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri. In Gujarat, the festival is celebrated with great fervour. People worship the goddess by placing her idol in the centre and playing 'Garba' (a traditional folk dance) around the Goddess with great reverence, devotion and joy. This festival falls in Ashwini Shukla Paksha, according to the Hindu calendar. This year Navratri commenced on 22nd September and will end on 1st October. The festival concludes with Maha Navami rituals, Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami; symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
Bright Day School celebrated the festival for the students of Std. I to V on 25th September 2025 and for the students of Std. VI to XII on 26th September 2025. The students and teachers participated in the Garba festival with equal zeal and enthusiasm and danced and swirled to the beats of the music throughout the celebration. Our Directress, Ms Swara Shah, also joined the floor and swirled to the beats of the garba songs, much to the joy of the students. All the students were dressed in bright, colourful costumes making the ambience energetic and vibrant. Certain girls enthusiastically dressed up as Goddess Parvati, Radha etc. The boys, dressed in beautiful costumes and colourful headgears i.e. 'paghadis', looked equally enchanting. Brightians were awarded prizes for best performance and costume, by eminent and experienced judges of great repute. The 'Aarti' and 'Garba' sung during the celebration made the atmosphere divine. The celebration ended with the 'Timli' dance.
CPR Training Session
A CPR Training Session was held on 29.07.2025 for students of Std: XI–XII. It was conducted by: Dr. Ritesh Shah (MD, IDCCM, FICCM, FIECMO), Assisted by : Dr. Ankur Bhavsar and team.
The session covered immediate steps to take in case of an accident, hands-on CPR training for staff and students, practical understanding of emergency response techniques. Each student practically performed CPR during the session, gaining real-time experience and valuable guidance on how to respond effectively during emergencies. Bright is grateful to Dr. Ritesh Shah, Dr. Ankur Bhavsar, and the entire medical team for empowering our school community with essential life-saving skills!
ATAL Lab Project Activities
Our students from Grades VI to IX enthusiastically participated in hands-on STEM learning at the ATAL Tinkering Lab, engaging in creative and practical projects that boost innovation and scientific thinking.

STEM WORKSHOP
Bright Management arranged STEM workshop for the students of Std 7 on 29th August 2025. Ms. Smita Jatia (Director – Renown Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.) and Deepak Garden Fresh Pvt. Ltd., Senior Vice Chairperson – FICCI FLO Vadodara) coordinated this wonderful event.
Mr. Pallav Shaileshbhai Shah (International Certified Trainer, ATL Mentor – NITI Aayog, DGCA Licensed Drone Pilot, Founder of Robo Code Veda) conducted an insightful session that sparked curiosity and innovation.
Through this workshop, our students enhanced their problem-solving skills, learned hands-on STEM applications, and explored the exciting world of technology and innovation.
SCIENCE CLUB ACTIVITY
Science Club Activity was organized for the students of Std. V
- Activity – 1 (20.08.2025) : Aeromodelling
The students learnt about the working of an aeroplane, after which the students designed and tested different types of paper planes. They were very excited to take part in this activity.
- Activity – 2 (03.09.2025) : Magnetic Compass
Students learned about the working of a magnetic compass and also explored how to make a homemade compass. They were enthusiastic and eager to learn during this activity.
