Bagless Day Celebration - 13.06.2026
Bright Day School successfully celebrated Bagless Day on 13th June 2026, transforming a regular school day into a joyful, engaging, and stress-free learning experience. The initiative aimed to promote experiential learning by encouraging students to explore, create, collaborate, and learn beyond textbooks.
Students across various grades enthusiastically participated in a wide range of educational and fun-filled activities designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, and confidence. Activities Conducted, Direction Jump, Drawing Using Numbers, Enacting Opposite Words, Drawing Activities, Puzzle Activity & Whispering Challenge Game, Mandala Art, Guess the Object Game, Sudoku, Mental Math Relay, Science Charades, Aksharon Ki Antakshari, Brain Test, Solving Magic Square, Role Play, Advertisement Making, Riddles, Learning Outcomes. Each activity was thoughtfully designed to : Enhance critical and logical thinking, develop communication and interpersonal skills, Encourage creativity and self-expression, Build confidence and teamwork, Promote holistic personality development, Make learning interactive, meaningful, and enjoyable.
The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm, energy, and active participation throughout the day, making the event a memorable success. Bagless Day once again proved that education becomes most meaningful when learning goes beyond books and embraces creativity, exploration, and real-life experiences.
Founder’s Day
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni; paused to look back and reminisce the extraordinary life of its founder, Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah. Though his noble soul departed for the heavenly abode on 3rd July 2021, his timeless wisdom, enduring values and deep affection for children remain etched in our memory.
Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah was not just a great leader and educationist, but also a true mentor, a compassionate humanitarian and a visionary who reshaped the landscape of modern education. He began his incredible journey in 1973 with a small family of just 33 students. Through his unwavering dedication, the humble seed of imparting education that he had sown many years ago has blossomed into a phenomenal legacy that is now providing quality education to over 16,500 students. A staunch believer in punctuality, discipline and progress, Sir firmly held the conviction that every child deserved the sacred gift of knowledge. He loved children immensely and cherished every moment he spent in their company.
The entire school came together to pay a heartfelt tribute to our revered Sir. Our esteemed Chairman Sir Dr Simit Shah and Directress Ma’am Swara Shah, paid a soulful tribute to Sir, by kindling the diya before his portrait to seek his blessings. A serene wave of reverence swept through the morning assembly as our Principal Ms Neeta Sharma, offered her heartfelt tribute and kept Sir’s luminous memory alive in every heart. Bound by shared spirit, our students and teachers recounted Sir’s achievements and pledged to carry the flame of discipline and knowledge ignited by him, into the future. The atmosphere was charged with deep respect as Brightians sang a soulful medley of songs under the accomplished mentorship of our music teacher Mr. Rajiv Dashputre.
Sir left a monumental footprint in the realm of education, igniting a timeless flame of knowledge that will forever illuminate our path. To keep the flame of knowledge burning bright, our youngest learners also participated in Founder's Day activities. Brightians of pre-primary and primary section sang the school song and made beautiful drawings inspired by the powerful school motto ‘A will will find a way’. To honour Sir's vision, our primary and pre-primary teachers shared meaningful moral stories, passing down the foundational values that Sir held close to his heart. Embodying Sir’s profound belief that knowledge must be continuously upgraded, an intellectually stimulating Quiz spanning a wide range of topics was conducted for the students of classes IV to XII. Across every classroom, our dedicated teachers led discussions about his life, ensuring his incredible legacy continues to inspire young minds.

Grandparents Day Celebration – A Day Filled with Love, Laughter & Cherished Memories!
"Grandparents make the world a little softer, a little kinder and a whole lot warmer."
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit joyfully celebrated Grandparents Day for Balvatika 1 & Balvatika 2 students on 17th July 2026. The event was a beautiful tribute to the unconditional love, wisdom and blessings that grandparents shower upon their grandchildren.
The celebration began with a Welcome note, followed by a soulful Prayer Song presented by our adorable tiny tots of Jr. KG and Sr. KG, creating a serene and joyful atmosphere. Adding excitement to the celebration, grandparents enthusiastically participated in a fun-filled Antakshari, where they showcased their musical talents through different situations and words. The laughter continued with the lively Hula Hoop Passing Game, where the participant holding the hula hoop when the music stopped entertained everyone by singing, dancing or delivering famous movie dialogues. Their energy, confidence and cheerful spirit truly won everyone's hearts!
The memorable celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the grandparents for their gracious presence and enthusiastic participation. It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, laughter, music and unforgettable moments, celebrating the priceless bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge.
Student Council Elections & Investiture Ceremony
The much-awaited Student Council Elections for the academic year 2026-27 were held on 25th June 2026 at Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni. Several dynamic Brightians stepped forward for the post of Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice President, General Secretary, Sports Captains and House Captains, with the final candidates selected by a screening panel. Under the guidance of Principal Ms. Neeta Sharma, students from Std VII to XII cast their votes with fairness and responsibility. Stringent measures ensured a smooth and transparent election process.
The Investiture Ceremony for the Student Council Members was held on 15th July 2026. The occasion commenced with a prayer, invoking divine blessings for the new leaders. The distinguished members of management and head of school i.e. Dr. Simit Shah- Chairman; Ms. Swara Shah-Directress and Mrs. Neeta Sharma-Principal, honoured the elected and selected Student Council Members by pinning badges and draping sashes. Class Representatives too received their badges, marking their formal induction. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony administered by the Principal, where the Student Council Members pledged to uphold the values and principles of the school. They promised to serve with humility, listen with compassion and lead with purpose.
The Directress, Ms. Swara Shah, congratulated and blessed the newly invested leaders, encouraging them to embrace their responsibilities with dedication. The Vice President, General Secretary, Head Boy, and Head Girl expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management for entrusting them with leadership roles, and to their fellow Brightians for their unwavering trust and support.
A dance 'Uth jaa itihaas banana hein...' was performed by the Brightians to motivate the Student Council Members to embrace their roles with complete devotion and dedication. The highlight of the ceremony was the walk past of the Student Council Members, proudly carrying the school flag across the campus with their heads held high. The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note, as Brightians joined in singing the School Song followed by the National Anthem. Proud parents of Student Council Members, who were among the audience, applauded their wards and praised the management for the seamless and efficient execution of the occasion.
Food and Nutrition
Making Healthy Choices Every Day : Healthy eating habits start early and our Health Education Programme is helping students understand the connection between food and overall well-being. The students understood the difference between foods that can be enjoyed every day and those best consumed occasionally. They learned about the importance of iron-rich foods, the role of hemoglobin in the body and why breakfast is an essential part of a healthy routine. Students also discovered the benefits of whole grains and millets.
By encouraging informed food choices and a better understanding of nutrition, these sessions are empowering young learners to build healthy habits that will benefit them for years to come.
Growing Up Healthy – Building Strong Foundations for Life!
Our Health Education Programme continues to inspire young learners to make healthy choices and develop lifelong wellness habits. Through engaging and interactive sessions, students explored the importance of personal hygiene, understanding germs, caring for their eyes and ears, maintaining good posture and learning how bones help support and protect our bodies. These meaningful learning experiences are empowering children to take responsibility for their health, build confidence in making informed decisions and embrace habits that support their physical and emotional well-being. National Flag Day
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, we proudly celebrated National Flag Day, instilling in our students a deep sense of patriotism and respect for our beloved Tiranga. The significance of the day and the importance of our National Flag were thoughtfully explained to the students, helping them understand the values of unity, courage, peace and progress that it represents. Our young learners enthusiastically expressed their love for the nation by drawing the National Flag, reciting heartfelt poems highlighting its glory and singing the National Anthem with great pride and respect.
The celebration served as a beautiful reminder that our National Flag is not just a symbol of our country's freedom but also of the responsibility each one of us carries towards building a stronger and brighter India.

Students enthusiastically participated in Picture Talk, Classroom Shop, Digital Detective, Piggy Bank Activity, Memory Game, Pictionary, Fraction Game, Financial Literacy, Preamble Poster Making, One Minute Expert, 3D Relief Map of India, Science Activities, Dance, Music, Games, and Art & Craft. The day fostered creativity, confidence, teamwork, critical thinking, and practical life skills, making learning joyful, meaningful, and memorable.

Our little learners of Balvatika-3 enthusiastically celebrated Nature Activity Day by dressing up as different elements of nature, bringing the beauty of the natural world to life. From trees and flowers to the sun, clouds, rivers, and animals, each child confidently spoke about their chosen element, sharing its importance in our lives. This engaging activity helped our young minds develop confidence, creativity and a deeper connection with Mother Earth. Together, we learned that every small step towards protecting nature helps create a greener and brighter future. Let's inspire our children to love, respect and protect our environment—because today's little nature lovers will become tomorrow's Earth protectors.
Guru Purnima Celebration
Guru Purnima, observed on the full moon day of Ashadha, holds deep significance in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain traditions. It is a day to honour our teachers, mentors, and guides - those who light our path with wisdom and compassion. It is a day to celebrate the transformative role of a guru in shaping lives and nurturing spiritual growth. Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni; began the day with devotion and enthusiasm. During the morning assembly, students discussed the significance of Guru Purnima. Our Music Teacher, Rajiv Sir, added to the spirit of the day by singing the divine hymn ‘ॐ गुरु ॐ गुरु परात्परा गुरु ॐकारा गुरु तव शरणम्’.
This was followed by an enlightening speech by our Principal, who spoke about the origin and significance of Guru Purnima with special reference to the contributions of Adi Guru Ved Vyasa. In classrooms, teachers further discussed the importance of the festival with students. Our little Balvatika learners were introduced to the significance of Guru Purnima through the inspiring tale of Eklavya and Dronacharya, which emphasized the values of respect, dedication and gratitude towards one’s guru. As a gesture of love for their first gurus - Mother, Father, and Teacher - the children created beautiful drawings in their notebooks, acknowledging the vital role they play in shaping their lives.

Social Emotional Learning
Nurturing and empowering educators: Workshop on Social Emotional Learning
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni, recently organized an insightful workshop on 'Social Emotional Learning (SEL)' on 25.04.2026 in collaboration with CBSE COE Ahmedabad. Led by distinguished resource persons Ms Kabita Sharma and Ms Anita Noronha, the session empowered the educators with the tools to build more compassionate and emotionally resilient classrooms; and on 05.05.2026 led by esteemed resource persons Sir Rajeev Kumar Singhal and Ms. Bhavna Pathak, for a different group of teachers. On both occassions, as a mark of appreciation, our Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma, felicitated the resource persons with plant saplings. The workshop unfolded in the dignified presence of the Principal and the school Coordinators.
The workshop highlighted the profound benefits of SEL for students, emphasizing how emotional intelligence leads to improved academic performance, reduced stress and stronger decision-making skills. Teachers delved into the five core competencies of SEL—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making - which form the bedrock of a child's holistic development.
The major focus was the practical integration of SEL across all stages of learning, from Foundational and Preparatory to Middle and Secondary levels. Aligning with CBSE, NCERT and UNESCO guidelines; the experts shared specific classroom strategies to weave emotional well-being into everyday lessons. The session was brought to life through relevant hands-on activities where teachers practiced empathy-building exercises and collaborative problem-solving techniques. To ensure long-term success, the educators explored assessment strategies for evaluating student progress in social-emotional growth, alongside frameworks for school self-assessment.
The teachers left the session feeling inspired and equipped with a fresh perspective on classroom management. Collectively, the teaching faculty expresses their sincere gratitude to the School Management and the Principal for having prioritized such vital professional development program.
