The award was presented by Ek Updesh Media on 28th September 2024, in Ahmedabad.
Our school has emerged as the First Runner-up at State Level Wild Wisdom Quiz held at Smt. SS Gyan Dham School, Vapi on 8th October'2024. Out of 40 total participating schools, our school team: Tanay Raval and Darsh Jain, Std IX demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills, securing the First Runner-Up position in the quiz.
Devanshi Singh of Std. VI has bagged the first prize in 4th Colombo International Dance festival organised by CDFA, Sri – Lanka. She has got a Medal, trophy & gift.
Aarisha Singh of Std. X & Shilohshaan Issac of Std. XI participated in the competition ‘Times Public Speaking – Junior’ organised by The Times of India in the Navrachana University. Aarisha bagged 1st Runner up trophy, certificate & cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- & Shilohshaan bagged 4th Runner up trophy certificate and cash prize of Rs. 3000/-. Both of them completed at Regional Level & got selected for the State Level.
Hayaan Shah of Std. IV bagged trophy & received certificate of appreciation in Cube Champions League 2.0 organised by Rubik’s Cube Academy. He also bagged trophy in 4x4 cube and 5 cube relay cube competition (Gujarat State Level Competition 2024).

Rutva also bagged 2 Gold & 2 Silver Medals each in RSFI (Skating) at State Level & is selected for National to be held at Mysore.

Social Awareness Campaign
Brightians participated in the Social Awareness Campaign organized by Vadodara Bharat Scouts and Guides Sangh on the 155th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Member of Parliament Dr Hemang Joshi, President of Bharat SME and Vadodara International Marathon Shri Nilesh Shukla, Chairman of Bright Group of Schools and Vice-President of Bharat Scouts and Guides Dr Simit Shah and AI Shri Adhikari Vanjara graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The Guests of Honour were felicitated by the Bharat Scouts and Guides District Commissioner Mr Alexander and District Secretary Shri Varun Desai. The Member of Parliament Dr Hemang Joshi acknowledged the efforts of the Vadodara Bharat Scouts and Guides Sangh for conducting such activities and praised the parents of Bharat Scouts and Guides participants, for keeping their wards active through such activities. The participants from various schools campaigned for social issues like 'Say no to Plastic', 'Women Safety', 'Save the Girl Child', 'Child Labour', 'Cancer Awareness', 'Importance of Physical and Mental Wellness' etc. The event ended on a successful note.
‘Bright Fest’ 2024 – Interschool Competition
An Inter-school competition - Bright Fest' 2024 for the students of Std. IV to IX was organised in Shri J R Shah auditorium on 04.10.2024. All prestigious CBSE schools of Vadodara participated in the event. The Chairman of Bright Group of Schools, Dr Simit Shah and Directress Ms Swara Shah graced the event with their august presence. The Principal Ms Neeta Sharma and other Heads of School were also present at the event. The judges were renowned personalities of their respective fields. The event commenced by lighting the lamp to invoke Goddess Saraswati's blessings and welcoming the guests.
Students of Std. IV and V participated in the story telling event 'Tell O' Tale'. The drawing competition titled 'Palette Parade' challenged the students of Std. VI and VII for their drawing acumen. The topic for the competition was 'India in 2047 - Viksit Bharat'. The students of Std. VIII and IX brought to life literary characters and authors in the 'Persona Parade'. All the participants gave staggering performances enthralling the audience and challenging the judges in the selection of winners. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony.

Navratri Celebration
Navratri, meaning 'nine nights', is one of the most popular and widely celebrated Hindu festivals in many parts of India, especially Gujarat, where it is celebrated with great vivacity and enthusiasm as a nine-night dance festival. During this festival people worship Goddess Amba by placing her idol / picture in the centre and playing ‘Garba’ around the Goddess with great reverence and devotion.
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit celebrated the festival for the students of Std. I to V on 7th October 2024 and for the students of Std. VI to XII on 9th October 2024. The students and teachers participated in the Garba festival with great energy and enthusiasm dancing and swaying to the beats of the music throughout the celebration. All the students came decked in bright and beautiful traditional garba costumes, lighting up the atmosphere. The Chairman Dr Simit Shah, Smt Sonali Simit Shah and Directress Swara Shah graced the celebration with their august presence and swayed to the beats of the garba songs along with the heads, teachers and students. Students were awarded prizes for best performance and costume by judges of repute. The winners were felicitated by honourable members of the Management and the Principal.The 'Aarti' and 'Garba' sung during the celebration in reverence of Goddess Amba made the atmosphere divine.
Annual Concert ‘Navras'
Celebrated the Annual Concert ‘Navras' of the students of Std. III in Shri J R Shah Auditorium on 26th October, 2024. The event was set into motion by welcoming the Chairman, Dr. Simit Shah and Directress, Ms. Swara Shah and thanking them profoundly for gracing the occasion with their august presence. The heads of school and parents were also warmly welcomed. Directress, Ms. Swara Shah addressed the gathering with a welcome speech. The Principal Ms. Neeta Sharma presented the School Report highlighting the school's and the students achievements.
Navaras is a term that refers to the nine emotions that are considered to be the foundation of human existence. In India’s performing arts, the Navras are the emotions that an audience experiences. According to Natyashastra, a performer evokes these emotions (bhavas) in the audience through dance, music and drama.
Brightians of Std. III in all their form and glory, decked up in the most vibrantly coloured costumes, set the stage on fire with electrifying dance performances, synchronizing their steps to the beats of the songs and music in perfect harmony. The prayer dance, was based on the ‘Shaant Ras’, representing peace and tranquility. This was followed by the ‘Shringaar Ras’, often considered to be the king of emotions, representing love and beauty; ‘Hasya Ras’, conveying joy and laughter; ‘Karun Ras’, depicting compassion and sorrow; ‘Adbhut Ras’, conveying wonder, amazement and awe; ‘Vibhats Ras’, representing disgust and aversion; ‘Raudr Ras’, the most powerful and dynamic Ras, representing anger, fury and intensity; ‘Bhay Ras’, conveying fear, anxiety and apprehension and ‘Veer Ras’, embodying the emotion of bravery, heroism and valour. The event culminated by proposing the Vote of Thanks. The dances were choreographed by Mr Jimish Chaudhary. The event was a grand success with 100 per cent participation of the students. The performances were immensely praised by the parents.
A workshop for teachers of Bright Day School (CBSE), Harni, was organized by Orient Blackswan on 23rd November 2024. The resource person, Ms. Rama Iyer who has been in the field of education for the last 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Education. The topic of discussion was "Time and Stress Management." The session focused on effective techniques to manage stress and time at work. Various activities and discussions were held to provide teachers with practical tips on reducing stress and improving productivity. The workshop was highly engaging, informative, and interactive, providing teachers with valuable insights and strategies for managing stress and time effectively.
Enhancing Scientific Awareness through Science Club
Our school's Science Club aims to foster scientific knowledge and awareness among students. This year, we have planned five engaging activities, with three already successfully conducted.
- Tesla Coil Demonstration :- Students experimented with electrical bulbs and tubes, exploring the principles of Tesla coils.
- D.C. Motor :- Participants assembled and experimented with D.C. motors, learning about their uses and advantages.
- Aero Modelling :- Students designed and flew paper planes, discovering the importance of flaps in aircraft.
The remaining activities will be conducted as per the schedule, promoting hands-on learning and scientific exploration.
