Bright Day school hosted the INTACH Heritage Quiz 2024. The team that emerged victorious in this vibrant symphony of intellect was Bright Day school (CBSE Unit, Vasna). The team members were Jwalin Vyas from grade 9 and Dutt Patel from grade 8.
U Genius All India Quiz - 10th September, 2024
Union Bank of India had organised a thrilling and intellectually stimulating quiz competition - U Genius All India Quiz on 10th September, 2024. Aditya Kumar and Karthick Swaminathan of grade 8 secured third place competing against 800 students from 80 schools. Not only did they achieve full score but also were the youngest participants in the final round. Their exceptional performance highlights their hard work and dedication.

Independence Day – 15th August, 2024
Bright School CBSE and GSEB, Vasna units celebrated 78th Independence Day on August 15th with great enthusiasm. Parents, students and teachers of both the units were a part of the celebration of our nation’s freedom. The event began with the President of the school Sir Shri Saumil Shah hoisting the national flag, followed by everyone singing Jhanda song filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism. The celebration featured a series of performances, including patriotic dance and song by the students. The celebration was concluded by singing to the tune of national anthem.
The celebration was a memorable one, leaving everyone with a deep sense of national pride and a commitment to uphold the values of our great nation.
Sanskrit Day Celebration - 20th August 2024
On 20th August, Our school celebrated Sanskrit Day with great enthusiasm emphasizing the importance of ancient and rich language. The celebration started with a special assembly to create awareness among the students about the significance of the language. Students were informed the reason behind the celebration that the day falls on the birthday of Panini, the renowned ancient Sanskrit Scholar. The program also included the chanting of Sanskrit shlokas from Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, Adhyay 5 which created a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The rhythmic recitation emphasized the beauty and the glory of language.
The celebration focused to instil values of deep respect for the ancient language.
Teacher’s day celebration – 5th September 2024
On 5th September, our school celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm. The day commenced with a special assembly organised by students to honour the contribution of teachers in shaping young minds. The event was filled with heart-warming song and dance performance, which conveyed their respect and gratitude towards their teachers. In addition to the special assembly, a few students from class 8 to 12 got an opportunity to become student teachers and this teaching experience helped them to get practical teaching experience, build confidence, and learn how to apply theoretical knowledge in a real classroom.
The celebration left a lasting impact on both students and teachers as it was filled with emotions, gratitude and immense respect.
Ganesh Chaturthi celebration - 9th September 2024
Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great zeal at Bright. The event started with a traditional Aarti where students, teachers and staff gathered to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh, creating a spiritual atmosphere. Students performed graceful dance capturing the joyous spirit of the festival. Vibrant chants of “ Ganpati Bappa Morya” echoed the school campus, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
Lord Ganesh was welcomed in every class of the school with great enthusiasm for everyone to seek the righteous blessings. The celebration was concluded with eco friendly immersion of the idol. The event was a beautiful blend of tradition, joy and responsibility.
Hindi Diwas Celebration - 14th September, 2024
Hindi Diwas was celebrated at Bright to raise awareness about Hindi as one of India’s official languages which was adopted as the National language of India by the Indian Constitution on September 14, 1949. The week-long celebration for class V to X fostered a deep appreciation for the Hindi language motivating and positively influencing the students.
It provided a platform for students to express themselves in Hindi, emphasizing its importance.The students participated in various activities in their regular Hindi period namely story narration, Hindi recitation, self-narrated poems, chitra varnan, shabdon ki ladi antakshari, samvad lekhan, vigyapan and muhavaron ki antakshari.
Special assemblies were organized throughout the week. The entire assembly was conducted in Hindi Language where the students shared the importance of Hindi Diwas, Suvachan, beautiful heart-warming kavya gaan, doha nirtya and sangeet, swarachit song describing its importance, students dressed up as kavi and lekhak born in the month of September. They also created a parliamentary scene discussing why and how Hindi became the official language of India.
CHINMAYA GITA CHANTING COMPETITION 2024 – 24th August, 2024
Gita Chanting Competition organized by Chinmaya Mission was hosted in Bright Day School on 24th August ‘24, Saturday. At Bright, we recognize the importance of nurturing the profound teachings of Bhagavad Gita from a young age. The competition started with lighting of lamp by Swami Deveshananda Saraswati and Heads of CBSE and GSEB Units. Swamiji enlightened the students by sharing that chanting the verses nurtures pace for children's spiritual growth. He said this unique competition embodies Chinmaya Mission's progressive approach- 'Chant- study-know-live'.
In all 118 students from Kg to XI class of various categories participated in this competition with profound dedication. The whole atmosphere vibrated with divine energy with the chanting of blessed participants.
INTACH HERITAGE QUIZ - 21st August, 2024
The rich cultural heritage of India is rooted in its ancient history, traditions and values that has been passed for generations.
The INTACH Heritage quiz was a successful event organised at our school on 21st August, 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of 21 schools across the city. The guest of honour for the event was P. S. Chari sir, Master of theatre and performing arts. The other guests were Mr. Sanjeev Joshi, convener of INTACH, Vadodara and Ma’am Tarisha Mehta who was the quizmaster. The four teams that included Bright Day school (CBSE Vasna unit), St. Kabir school, Delhi Public school ( Kalali) and Ambe Vidhyalay (GSEB Unit)qualified for the finals on the stage.
The event reaffirmed the spirit of continuous learning to discover the new horizons.
