Independence Day
“Freedom in our minds, Faith in our words, Pride in our souls”. Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. Students presented a series of mesmerizing performances by grade I to V students. Students presented dance, patriotic song, freedom fighter speech, slogans, pledge etc. They also showcased about the evolution of Indian flag, unknown facts about Independence Day and a skit talking about the different events of the freedom struggle.
Ganesh Chaturthi
The air at Bright Day School was filled with a sense of devotion and vibrant energy as a part of Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. Students of primary section performed a dance as a part of celebration. The Lezim performance created a serene and meditative atmosphere, followed by Aarti of Lord Ganesha.
Teacher’s Day
A special assembly was conducted as a tribute to teachers. Students of grade V performed dance, shared acronyms on teacher and also presented songs and poem in the assembly. The students of higher grades were dressed up as teachers and conducted the classes.
Hindi Diwas
- At Bright, we believe that honouring our language is key to understanding our identity. This year’s Hindi Diwas celebration featured a vibrant array of activities :
- Grade 1 students played a game on hindi matras.
- Grade 2 students prepared and presented hindi poems on fruits and vegetables.
- Grade 3 students played Hindi word hunt in which teachers spoke English words and students were asked to speak a hindi word for that.
- Grade 4 students played word building game.
- Grade 5 students did activity on nouns.
Navatri
The school premises echoed with the rhythmic clatter of sticks and melodic beats of traditional folk music. Students and staff decked up in traditional attire filled the assembly area with synchronized movements and infectious joy. Everyone moved in a circular motion on the beats of traditional folk music. The festivities reached to its peak with a solemn Maha Aarti. The entire school community stood in unity, offering prayers for strength, courage and the pursuit of knowledge.
Diwali
The festival of light was not just about the glowing of lamps but was a celebration about joy, creativity and food. The students of grade I to V displayed their creative skills by following activities :
- Grade 1 – Card Making
- Grade 2 – Lantern Making
- Grade 3 to 5 students prepared wall hangings, decorated diyas and also did flower rangoli.
They also enjoyed relishing different Diwali snacks with their friends as part of ‘tiffin party.’.
Christmas
The students celebrated the festival of Christmas by singing Christmas carols, dance and indulging into creation of wall hangings, Santa Claus drawing and decoration as a part of celebration.
National Science Day
"The essence of science is independent thinking and hard work." – Sir C.V. Raman.
The school was transformed into a vibrant hub of curiosity and innovation as we celebrated National Science Day. The students were indulged in different science activities planned by teachers. Students of grade 1 and 2 were busy discovering new things through science experiments. Grade 3 to 5 were testing their scientific skills through the quiz conducted by the teachers.
Types of Plants
Our Grade 2 budding scientists have been busy turning their classrooms into a lush, living laboratory! As part of our "Plants" chapter, the teachers organized a spectacular display of plants to showcase everything they have learned about nature's quiet superheroes.
Types of Houses
From Igloos to Skyscrapers: Grade 2 Explores "Types of Houses".
Grade 2 students were on an architectural tour! Our young explorers have swapped their notebooks for building materials to create a spectacular display of Types of Houses, bringing their "Shelter and Safety" unit to life.
Frolica
The school campus was transformed into a sprawling carnival of joy as we hosted our much-awaited event of the year – ‘Frolica’. Braking away from the usual academic routine the day was dedicated to the spirit of play, sportsmanship and pure fun. The students of grade I to V were engrossed in playing different games along with their parents. Every corner of the campus buzzed with excitement.
