Recognition of International Dimenstion in Schools
We are delighted to share that Bright Day School, CBSE, Vasna has been recognized for outstanding development of the International dimension in the Curriculum. The school is conferred with this Award for fifth consecutive time for the session 2025-2028. The award was received by the Principal on 25/08/2025, Monday at New Delhi. INTACH India Heritage Quiz 2025
The regional round of INTACH India Heritage Quiz 2025 was conducted on Saturday,4th October 2025.Six different schools from Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Jamnagar had participated for the same. Dutt Patel of class IX A and S.Karthick of IX B both of our school had represented our city and were declared winners of the event. Now further they will be representing Gujarat state at the National finals which will be conducted at INTACH Headquarters, New Delhi in the month of December this year.
Jingle Genius Event
Amay Toshniwal of X B and Ananya Mishra of X D participated in the event Bright Fest where they got first prize in Jingle Genius Event.
GRANDEUR 8.0 INTERNATIONAL OPEN FIDE RAPID RATING CHESS TOURNAMENT
Arpita Patankar of class 7 B secured 1st Position in 1600- 1700 rating category at the GRANDEUR 8.0 INTERNATIONAL OPEN FIDE RAPID RATING CHESS TOURNAMENT held on 11th and 12th October 2025.She scored 7/9 and increased FIDE rating by 92 points. She was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 9000/-.
Aditya Sana of class 9 D secured 5th rank under 14 category in the above competition.
Gita Chating Competition
Our students participated in the Gita Chanting Competition organised by Chinmaya Mission on 5/10/25. In all 8 students received the prizes.

15th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts
Elaakshi Suryawanshi of 6 F participated in the 15th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts organised by ABSS. She was awarded with a gold medal and a certificate of honour for being a winner in Junior Solo Category in Kathak held at Thailand on 26th and 27th October 2025.
All India 19th Cultural National Dance Contest and Festival
Kushi Telang of 6 D participated in All India 19th Cultural National Dance Contest and Festival. She got a trophy, medal and a National Merit Certificate in Solo Dance under Junior Age Category in Indian Semi Classical Dance form held from 25th October to 28th October 2025 at Rajasthan.
15th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts
Ishaanvi Suryawanshi of 8 C participated in the 15th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts organised by ABSS. She was awarded with a silver medal and a certificate of honour for being a winner in Bharatnatyam held at Thailand on 26th and 27th October 2025.
CBSE West Zone Yogasana Cluster 2025
Pari Tidke of Class 6 G stood 3rd and bagged a bronze medal in CBSE West Zone Yogasana Cluster 2025 held at Surat on 3rd August '25. She is qualified for the Nationals.
All India Rapid Chess Tournament
Arpita Patankar of 7 B secured 2nd position in rated category (1500-1600) in open section All India Rapid Chess Tournament held at Surat. She also secured 3 place in women’s category All India Blitz Chess Tournament and was also awarded with trophies and cash prize of Rs. 8000/-.
Dhwanit Trivedi of class 8 D secured 1st position in rated category (1400-1500) in open section All India Rapid Chess Tournament held at Surat. He was awarded with a trophy and Rs. 12000 cash prize.
AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament
Wazooha Khan of 8 G participated in U/14 Girls Event and reached Single Semi-Finals Doubles Runner-up in the AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament held at Jodhpur from 25/8/25 to 29/8/25.
38th National U 13 Chess Championship
Arpita Patankar of class 7 B secured 8 place in top 10 prize winners of ‘38th National U 13 Chess Championship’ held at Goa from 3rd to 10 th September’25. She was awarded with a trophy and cash prize worth Rs 18000/. She also increased her ELO rating by 52 points.
Fusion Fest' 25
Jwalit Buch of class 12 Com participated in Fusion Fest'25 held at Navrachna School, Sama. He secured 1st position in the event ' Anunaad, a traditional Tabla Solo Playing on Taal Rupak'.
State Level Geeta Chanting Competition
Following students won prizes in the State Level Geeta Chanting Competition held on 9th November 2025. It was organised by Chinmaya Mission, Vadodara.
- Hiya Shah of 7 A stood 1st
- Shreya Ranadive of 11 Sci stood 2nd
- Misha Sankhala of 10 D and Preya Panchal of 9 B bagged the 3rd position
- Shruti Burade of 10 D got the consolation prize.
Hiya Shah and Shreya Ranadive will now proceed for National Round to be held at Pune. Congratulations from the Bright Family!.
Independence Day Celebration
On 15th August, CBSE and GSEB Unit celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm, beginning with a flag hoisting ceremony by the President of the school, Sir Shri Saumil Shah. This was followed by the singing of the patriotic songs that evoked patriotism and unity. Energetic and patriotic dance performance was a highlight of the event. This reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for freedom and the resposibility to contribute to the nation’s progress.
Hindi Divas
Our school celebrated Hindi Diwas week with great enthusiasm and devotion. The celebrations highlighted the significance of Hindi as our Rashtrabhasha and as an integral part of Indian culture.
Each day during the morning assembly students spread awareness about importance of Hindi through speeches, roleplay of famous Hindi poets and authors. Students presented Hindi thoughts and also recited self-composed poems. Students also contributed in decorating the bulletin boards based on Hindi Diwas.
The celebrations helped students understand the cultural value of Hindi and encourage them to use the language with pride. The entire week not only strengthened their command over the language but also inspired them to respect and preserve their mother tongue. The celebration of Hindi diwas week was a true tribute to our national language and its role in uniting the diverse culture of India.
Ganpati Celebration
Echoing the festive spirit, the school celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest. Lord Ganesha was brought in a palanquin with the rousing chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya’ and the beats of drums and lezims.Students of class 4 and 8 performed a graceful dance to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. It was followed by tradional ‘Aarti’. The idol was taken to all the classrooms which enhanced the festive spirit in the whole school.
Navratri Celebration
Navratri was celebrated on 29th September 2025 with enthusiastic participation from students, featuring energetic garba. Students performed garba dressed in the tradional attire.A special aarti was performed to seek blessings. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony to recognize students for best costume and best performances. The prize winners were felicitated by the President of the school, Shri Saumil Shah, Ms. Nilpa Madam and PTA members.
Teacher's Day Celebration
As a tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan , the students celebrated Teacher’s Day on 4th September 2025. A special assembly was conducted by the Students Council Members. Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated poems, song and dance by the students. The assembly concluded with the Principal’s address. The students of classes 8 to 12 stepped into the role of teachers for a day. As a token of appreciation, the students also presented handmade card to the President of the school.
Joy of Giving
As a part of Joy of Giving week celebration, students of classes 1 to 8 celebrated generosity and compassion by donating their toys, books, and stationery items to the under privileged children of the society. The donated items were collected by NGO, Sneh Foundation, Vadodara.
150 Years of 'Vande Mataram'
Our school celebrated the 150th anniversary of India's National Song, Vande Mataram. The Principal of the school Mr. Bhavik Parekh addressed the school assembly and shared the historical background and journey of the National Song.
It was composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, first published in 1882 as a part of his novel 'Anandmath'. In Gujarat, it was sung for the first time in 1906. It was the rallying cry of freedom fighters during the struggle for independence. As a part of the celebration, students and teachers collectively sang the National Song and also took ' Swadeshi' pledge- a statement of self- reliance and devotion to the motherland.
The Mega Tinkering Day Challenge
The morning of August 12, 2025, felt different. A buzz of excitement filled our ATAL lab as Bright Day School students prepared for the Mega Tinkering Day challenge: "Building a DIY vacuum cleaner."
When the clock hit 9:00 AM, our Lab transformed into a buzzing innovation lab. Teams huddled together, each one a hub of focused problem-solving and collaboration. " By the end of the hour, we had two working prototypes. Our school actively participated in Mega Tinkering Day with great enthusiasm. Students showcased innovative projects, explored scientific concepts, and engaged in hands-on activities. The event fostered creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, making it an inspiring and enriching experience for all participants.
The true victory of the day wasn't in the working vacuum cleaners. It was in seeing our innovators become confident problem-solvers, resilient learners, and effective collaborators. Mega Tinkering Day was more than a project; it was a powerful lesson in innovation.
Career Talk Session – Finance & Management
We proudly hosted an inspiring Career Talk on Finance & Management by the esteemed Mr. Viswanathan Iyer – a seasoned expert in the field and a passionate mentor.
Mr. Iyer shared invaluable insights on career opportunities, real-world applications of finance, and the evolving role of management in today's dynamic global economy.
