Teachers Day Celebrations
Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara”
Teachers Day is not just a day of celebration; it is a day to remember and realize the priceless value of a Guru in our lives. A Tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September in our school premises to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan - a great scholar, philosopher and teacher.
When his students wanted to celebrate his birthday, he humbly said, "Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is observed as Teachers Day." Since then, we honour all teachers on this day. More than a Profession, It's a Nation Building: A teacher is not just someone who teaches from books. A teacher builds the nation by shaping the character, thoughts and future of every child.
The most beautiful tradition of Teachers Day is making students become teachers for a day. Its significance is deep - it makes a student understand the patience, hard work, responsibility and unconditional love that a teacher carries every single day. It transforms respect into gratitude. In Essence, Teachers Day signifies the bond of respect, love and trust between a Guru and a Shishya. It is a day to say - Thank you for holding our hands, for correcting us when we were wrong, and for believing in us even when we did not believe in ourselves. Without a Guru, there is no knowledge. Without knowledge, there is no light.
