We extend our gratitude to [Dr Subrato Das] for facilitating this invaluable workshop and to our teachers for their enthusiastic participation.
What is CPR?
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique that combines chest compressions with rescue breaths to restore blood circulation and breathing in a
person who has stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped beating.
Why is CPR important?
CPR is crucial in emergency situations, such as heart attacks, drownings, or electrocutions. It can help:
- Restore blood flow to vital organs
- Increase chances of survival
- Reduce brain damage
Basic CPR Steps:
- Call for help (dial emergency number)
- Check airway, breathing, and circulation (ABCs)
- Start chest compressions (30:2 ratio with rescue breaths)
- Continue until medical help arrives
