SGVP Lit. Fest 5.0
Preliminary Round SGVP International School, Ahmedabad, organised the SGVP Lit. Fest 5.0, a literary festival aimed at nurturing students’ talents and providing them with a platform to showcase their literary skills, creativity and confidence. We are delighted to announce that eight students from Shri J.R. Shah Bright School, Vadodara, were selected as winners in the preliminary round of this prestigious online literary event. Recitation of Sanskrit Verses
On 2 February 2026, a historic event was held at Atladara, Vadodara, to celebrate the birth anniversary of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. Thousands of children participated in the collective recitation of Sanskrit verses from the Satsang Shikshan scriptures, creating a remarkable world record. The event was carefully observed and verified by officials from Guinness World Records.
It was a moment of immense pride for Shri J.R. Shah Bright School, Vadodara, as eight of our students were selected and became part of this historic achievement, earning a place in the Guinness World Records. Their participation reflects dedication, discipline and a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage.

80th Independence Day Celebration
Shri J. R. Shah Bright School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 14 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and a deep sense of pride. The programme was graced by the presence of the Chairman, Dr. Smit Shah, and the Directress, Ms. Swara Shah. The Principal, Ms. Rita Kantharia, along with the supervisors, attended the celebration with great enthusiasm and contributed to its successful conduct.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal highlighted the significance of Independence Day and spoke about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. She also emphasised the responsibilities of young citizens and encouraged the students to become responsible and contributing members of society.
The students added colour and vibrancy to the celebration through patriotic speeches, poems, songs, and cultural performances. Their enthusiastic participation beautifully reflected their love for the nation and highlighted the values of unity, discipline, respect, and patriotism.
The supervisors and teachers played an important role in guiding the students and ensuring that the programme was conducted smoothly and successfully. Their dedicated efforts contributed significantly to making the celebration memorable and meaningful. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. It was a memorable occasion that inspired everyone to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility and to contribute positively towards building a stronger and better India.
Janmashtami Celebration
Shri J. R. Shah Bright School celebrated Janmashtami on 3 September 2026 with immense enthusiasm, devotion, and festive fervour. The school campus was filled with a joyous and vibrant spirit as students and teachers came together to commemorate the auspicious birth of Lord Krishna. The celebration beautifully reflected the rich tapestry of Indian culture, tradition, and spirituality.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chairman, Dr. Smit Shah, and the Directress, Ms. Swara Shah. The Principal, Ms. Rita Kantharia, along with the supervisors and teachers, enthusiastically participated in the celebration and inspired the students to embrace the values, traditions, and timeless teachings associated with Lord Krishna.
The celebration came alive with colourful cultural performances, devotional songs, dances, and presentations by the students. Dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha, and other characters associated with Krishna's life, the students added a vibrant and festive charm to the occasion. The students also presented the Janmashtami celebrations through various performances, highlighting the values of love, compassion, friendship, righteousness, and devotion taught through the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation of India's rich cultural heritage and traditions. The sincere efforts of the teachers and enthusiastic participation of the students made the celebration a memorable and spiritually uplifting occasion.
Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration
The auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at Shri J.R. Shah Bright School, Vadodara, on 11th Sept 2026 with immense devotion, enthusiasm and spiritual fervour. The celebration beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing Indian culture, values, unity and a spirit of togetherness among its students. The programme commenced in a serene and devotional ambience, with students and staff seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha—the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom, prosperity and new beginnings. Chairman Dr. Simit J. Shah and Directress Ms. Swara Shah offered prayers and sought the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha. Principal Ms. Rita Kantharia, along with the sectional heads, teachers, parents and students, participated wholeheartedly in the festivities.
A grand procession added vibrancy to the occasion. Students adorned in the traditional attire representing various states of India added a colourful cultural dimension to the procession, beautifully portraying the cherished spirit of “Unity in Diversity.”
The celebration came alive with soulful devotional songs, bhajans and graceful dance performances. The students expressed their reverence through their heartfelt participation, while the teachers highlighted the deeper significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and its timeless values of knowledge, wisdom, humility, humanity and togetherness.
The school campus was transformed into a vibrant festive space with beautiful floral decorations, intricate rangolis and an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha, creating an atmosphere that was both aesthetically pleasing and spiritually uplifting. The celebration also sensitised students towards the importance of celebrating festivals in an eco-conscious and responsible manner.
The Ganesh Sthapana ceremony was performed with deep श्रद्धा and devotion by Chairman Dr. Simit J. Shah, followed by the participation of the entire school fraternity. The collective prayers and devotional moments created an atmosphere of peace, positivity and divine grace. The celebration concluded with a devotional aarti and distribution of prasad, leaving everyone with hearts filled with gratitude, joy and spiritual bliss. The festivities served as a meaningful reminder that celebrations become truly enriching when they bring people together and strengthen the values of faith, harmony, discipline and cultural pride.
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Shri J.R. Shah Bright School was indeed a memorable and spiritually enriching occasion, leaving the Bright School family with cherished memories and the blessings of Lord Ganesha for a year filled with wisdom, happiness, prosperity and success.
Chhappan Bhog (Annakut)
Shri J. R. Shah Bright School, Vadodara, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Chhappan Bhog (Annakut) on 16/09/2026 with devotion and reverence. A splendid variety of delicacies was lovingly arranged as an offering to Lord Ganesha. The celebration brought together students, teachers and staff in a spirit of gratitude, faith and togetherness, seeking divine blessings for peace, prosperity and happiness. || जय श्री गणेश ||
Ganesh Visarjan Celebration
On 17th September 2026, Shri J. R. Shah Bright School, Vadodara, solemnly celebrated Ganesh Visarjan. The auspicious occasion commenced with the offering of prayers and devotional chants, creating an atmosphere of faith and reverence. The Ganesh Visarjan was ceremoniously performed by our esteemed Chairman, Dr. Simit Shah, in the gracious presence of Directress Ms. Swara Shah, Principal Ms. Rita Kantharia and other Sectional Heads.
The celebration reflected the spirit of devotion, unity and togetherness, concluding with heartfelt prayers for peace, prosperity and happiness.
